The Tom Pryce Memorial Trophy
We are proud to announce that we were selected as the recipients of the Tom Pryce Memorial Trophy 2010, and received same at a presentation by the Lord Lieutenant of Gwynedd, Huw Morgan Daniel, at the Oriel Ynys Mon, Llangefni, Anglesey, on Nov 20th 2010.
The Trophy is awarded annually by the Welsh Motoring Writers to organisations and individuals in Wales, and is dedicated to the memory of Tom Pryce, the racing driver whose career was tragically cut short during the 1977 South African Grand Prix at Kyalami.
At the same event, Mazda Motors Corporation were presented with a Special Achievement/Engineering Excellence Award in celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the MX5.
That evening, we were treated to a dinner at Bodysgallen Hall Hotel, near Llandudno, graced by the presence of Welsh Office Minister, David Jones, who entertained us with his speeches, and he had some kind words to say about us as well.
We are honoured to have been selected, and would like to take this opportunity to thank all of those responsible for the award coming our way, and who helped to make the weekend great, including Huw Thomas from Motoring Writers, and Graham Fudge, PR Director for Mazda. Also thanks to Roy Brooks, who traveled over to give a talk, kindly putting across the essence of what we are about as a company.
