A wonderfully correct, original and unmolested example of a rare left hand drive Silver Ghost, only in production for a year or so. The car is rock solid, with excellent door fit, etc, and has a lovely patina and maturity to it, which is both difficult to find and desirable in equal measures! Mechanically excellent, drives really well, and has a ‘go anywhere’ feel to it. It also has the advantage of having been the test car for four wheel brakes, with a Westinghouse vacuum servo, possibly the only Ghost to be so equipped. A very appealing time-warp experience, not to be missed!

Chassis No. S165ML.                                   Reg No. DS 6498.                           £135,000.

Snippets:   The first owner was none-other than William (Billy) Brewster, a member of the Brewster coachbuilding family.  He bought S165ML as a retirement gift to himself when he resigned from the family business in 1927.  The Brewster family are directly descended from the Mayflower Brewsters in 1620.  A later owner of the car was E Andrew Mowbray who was an avid collector of early American Firearms & Swords.  His sword collection, which is now in the Smithsonian, was featured in the book “The American Eagle-Pommel Sword” which he published.  Mr. Mowbray also appeared in the movie “The Great Gatsby” with another of his Silver Ghosts.
