Specialist dealers in early Rolls-Royce and Bentley cars. 1938 Rolls-Royce Phantom III H.J.Mulliner Sedanca de Ville. Click on the images below to enlarge them. A fabulous example, of a rare and handsome, late, ‘DL’ series PIII, which has undergone recent major loving refurbishment to an excellent standard, with consideration and care being given to correctness and originality. The body has been completely stripped and repainted, the interior has been sensitively rejuvenated, and the whole car has been given a new lease of life, without over-restoration or bringing it back to ‘brand new’, and is done in just the right way. Also included was the fitting of an overdrive unit - a very worthwhile conversion, giving relaxed cruising. All of this careful work resulted in expenditure of well in excess of £80,000, and since then the car has covered 8,000 or so trouble-free miles. Excellent history file included. MoT tested until February 2011. A truly lovely car. Chassis No. 3DL34. Reg No. FPO 384. £135,000. Snippets:

The
first owner was none other than Sir Ernest Oppenheimer, MP & Mayor of
Kimberley, founder of DeBeers Mines, Anglo-Amer Corporation, African Explosives
and many other business ventures, who in 1938 had the car exported to him in
South Africa. In 1960 it was sold to
Waldemar Greyvensteyn, a famous South African automobile collector, who
participated in the 1960 Rand Daily Mail Rally. The car returned to the UK in
1978 and in 2001 it went France. We
are fortunate to have a copy of the original, detailed specs as required by Sir
Oppenheimer, as well as many other items in a comprehensive history file. Would you like more information? Go to 'Contact
