This car is for some reason not photogenic, and these shots really do not do it justice. Somehow it looks far better in reality, which is unusual. Come and see what we mean!

A fabulous car, beautifully proportioned and looking stylish from all angles. Has real ‘wow factor’, and being 1931, was built at a time when – in many people’s opinions - the coachbuilders art was at its height. Has been with one owner for something like forty years, during which time it has undergone an extensive, well documented restoration programme but had little use. It is now finished, running extremely well, and ready for the road. This car really is the classic (overused word) PII Continental, and incorporates such features as twin rear-mounted spares, louvred bonnet, etc. When you see the car ‘in the metal’, you will want it! MoT tested until February 2011.

Chassis No. 46GX.                              Reg No. GN 46.                              £155,000.

Snippets:   Early owners included the mysterious Lawrence Toole Locan who was a resident of the Cosmo Hotel in London.  After WWII the car was registered at Grafton Manor just outside Bromsgrove.  This magnificent  property was built by the Earl of Shrewsbury in 1567, the same year that he married Bess of Hardwick who was famous for marrying four husbands, each one richer than the last!  She was also a moneylender, property dealer, exploiter of iron works, coal mines, and glass works.  She  ended up being the richest woman in England after the Queen. She built Chatsworth House and Hardwick Hall which are lasting monuments to her & her families.
