A very stylish, well-proportioned original-bodied Hooper Tourer, recently re-painted and re-trimmed to an excellent standard, fitted with a new hood, and much more besides. Specification includes louvred bonnet, P100 ‘bullseye’ headlamps, a full set of six polished aluminium ‘Ace’ wheel discs, including the twin side-mounted spare wheels, and a rear ‘Auster’ screen. The car performs well, drives really nicely, and is MoT tested until July 2010. Just fully re-wired. A rare and desirable long-distance tourer.

Chassis No. 21JS.                             Reg No. 229 XUV.                       £145,000.

Snippets:   Ordered by Capt R Glen, an enigmatic gentleman about whom I can find very little information!  In 1932 the car was registered to Capt R. Glen in the Bas Pyrennes area of Anglet.  The second owner was H. R. Freemantle, who, in 1935 was recorded as being a new member of the London Aeroplane Club.  His registered address was at Blackfriars House which forms part of the lesser known Gunter Estate.  The estate was initially created by   the son of a famous 19th Century pastry chef, and the estate remained in the family until 2002.
