An extremely late example, one of the very last built, originally delivered to Florida, later taken by the same owner to Monaco, and a couple of years ago came to the UK.   Just fully re-painted to a high standard in the original colour of Arctic White with Parchment hide, and just fitted with a new, fully lined Mohair hood in beige. Only three owners from new, and the service history shows mileage of just 35,500. The car is in excellent condition and comes with MoT certificate valid until April 2012.  UK registered, taxes paid, and therefore can be transferred to any EEC country without payment of VAT. Rolls-Royce dealer service (Broughtons of Cheltenham) about 700 miles ago.

Chassis No. SCX50126.                                Reg No. E15 ASD.                            £75,000.

Snippets: Miami to Monaco

In 1920 Miami Beach, Florida had only 80 listings in its telephone directory, just enough to cover a single sheet of A4 paper!  The name Florida is derived from the Spanish ”Pascua Florida” meaning Feast of Flowers in honour of its discovery by the Spanish during the Easter Season.  After a few years in the Miami sunshine the car was exported to Monaco.  This principality was founded in 1215 as a colony of Genoa & the House of Grimaldi has ruled Monaco since 1297 to the present day except from a short period when it was under French control (1789/1814).   From 1815 until 1860 Monaco was designated as a protectorate of Sardinia by the Treaty of Vienna & in 1861 Monaco's sovereignty was recognized by the Franco-Monegasque Treaty.
