A very good example of what is probably the most sought-after saloon design used on any of the S Type Continentals. Nicely finished in deep green, with lovely, mature red leather interior, and excellent woodwork. The car comes with a file of history, including many invoices adding up to about £40,000 having been spent over the last few years, and more prior to that. Full record of ownership, including a period by Roger Daltrey in the 1970’s, with his signature in the original logbook. Driving really nicely, ready to use, and MoT tested until January 2009. Just driven 400 miles by ourselves, and performing very nicely.

Chassis No. BC126AR.                           Reg No. RFF 923.                         £75,000.

Snippets:  LORDS OF THE REALM & ROCK STARS

Owners included the Chairman of JJ&W Ltd, a Norwegian company which supplied much Fleet Street with its newsprint.  A member of the family served with the SAS during WWII.  Lord Chesham, owned the car during the early 1970s & upon the release of the evaluation of the speed limit trial that was conducted in 1967 Lord Chesham, executive vice-chairman of the RAC, said: "There are enough red herrings in this report to fill the hold of the largest Grimsby trawler afloat."  In 1974, shortly after his 30th birthday, the car was purchased by Roger Daltrey lead singer of “The Who”.
