Specialist dealers in early Rolls-Royce and Bentley cars. 1948 Bentley MKVI Hooper Saloon. Click on the images below to enlarge them. To return to this page afterwards, click the 'back' button on your browser. An unusual and appealing Hooper-bodied, early MKVI, in correct, unmolested condition, recently out of long-term storage. The semi razor-edge design is rather attractive, with narrow ‘letterbox’ windscreen and rear window, flared doors and handsome profile, set off nicely by the rearward leaning ‘B’ mascot. In sound condition, running well, and offered newly serviced and re-commissioned after its period of slumber, but retaining its cosmetic originality. MoT tested until February 2011. Chassis No. B2CF. Reg No. 127 XUS. £24,500. Snippets:
First
registered at Coleman Street, London. St.
Stephen’s Church was built during the 12th Century & was destroyed in the
Great Fire of 1666. Christopher Wren
rebuilt the church during the period 1674-81 & the small spire was crowned
by a golden vane in the form of a cockerel.
The foundry of James Bartlett supplied many of the bells required for
Wren’s new churches & cast a ring of 8 bells plus the Clock Bell for St.
Stephen’s. The church was
demolished after it was bombed in 1941. Would you like more information? Go to 'Contact
