A well-finished example, in dark blue and light grey, with rather appealing interior, original blue/grey leather, with good woodwork, recent grey carpets, decent headlining and working sunroof. A decent ‘use & improve’ car which would benefit from some minor attention, but nothing urgent. We will be fitting a new set of five radial tyres, and the car comes with a handbook, and old green logbook, and is MoT tested until June 2011. Chassis No. B81FU. Reg No. KOF 430. £18,500. Snippets:

to P. J. Evans Ltd, Birmingham, in 1911 Percy J Evans won the 4 lap Junior TT in
3 hours, 37 minutes at an average speed of 41.5 mph on a Humber Motorcycle.
Mrs. H. M. Bird of Hornton Manor, Shenstone owned B81FU in the 1950s.
Hornton Manor was built in 1927 by C E Bateman for a local industrialist
& was bought by C Bird during the early 1930s.
Mr Bird had a lovely tradition of providing each child in the village
with a jelly on their birthday, this ended with the outbreak of WWII.
Capt H.G.T Matchett was not only mentioned in despatches (Royal Warwicks)
but was an excellent Chess Player competing in many matches.
Prior to WWII Matchett organised the famous
Super Tournament Chess
Match which Jose Capablanca (The Mozart of Chess) won. Would you like more information? Go to 'Contact
