A desirable, three-position cabriolet body, and good, useable mechanical condition, combine to make an attractive proposition as a car to use and enjoy in all weathers. Used in recent years for various club events, including a Scandinavian tour, still driving well, and in many ways suitable for continued use of this kind. Cosmetically very untidy, but this has its advantages, and is correct and appealing. All correct in terms of specification, including 21” wheels, the spare being rear-mounted. Chassis No. GEN18. Reg No. UU 7871. £39,500. Snippets: Owned by Frances Wiggan-Smith whose husband Franklin C Smith, a noted lawyer, served with the Air Ministry during WWII. Winston Churchill was a friend of theirs & is rumoured to have ridden in this car! Franklin C Smith was also a director of Rolls-Royce Ltd. Their son, Kenneth, was also a lawyer who during 1973-1985 was the Chief Justice of Jamaica.
