A slightly unusual, rather appealing design, probably at some time converted from a six light body, but still mostly original, gives this car an added dimension! In clean and tidy condition, with fresh looking paintwork and decent brown leather interior, once the car is re-commissioned mechanically, there should be little needed before using and enjoying. Running nicely, sensibly priced, and could be considered to be an ideal pre-war ‘starter car’. Can be offered re-commissioned, or we can offer a discount ‘as is’.

Chassis No. GXB62.                                                                         £26,500.

Snippets:   Owned by Mme A. Sursock (nee Emilie Shedade) mother of Mathilde, Nicholas & Isabella.  Mme Sursock was the wife of Alexandre Nicholas Sursock a member of one of Beirut’s leading aristrocatic families. The Sursock’s owned cotton plantations in Egypt as well as estates throughout Turkey, Cyprus & Palestine.  In 1860 Nicholas Sursock founded the Banque Sursock.  Both Mathilde & Isabella married into Italian titled families – Marchese di Sambuci & Principe e Duca di Paliano respectively.  When Mme A. Sucock’s only son Nicholas died he bequethed his home & art collection to the nation thereby creating the Sursock Museum.  By various marriages the Sursock family are also linked to the British Cochrane’s (Consuls) & the Aga Khan.
