A lovely example of the Gurney Nutting ‘Swept Panel’ Coupe, possibly the only one built on a 20/25 chassis. The car underwent an extensive restoration, including major ash frame replacement, re-painting, re-trimming,  new cylinder head, complete re-wire in cotton covered cable, etc, etc. This work was completed in 2004 and since then the car has won two awards at the RREC Annual Rally. Within the last year, a comprehensive engine overhaul has been carried out, together with further improvements still, including fitting of an overdrive unit for relaxed cruising. A fine car, driving well.

Chassis No. GRF18.                              Reg No. BXM 828.                           £95,000.

Snippets: Guernsey Cattle to Military Cross

Ordered by the respected Guernsey Cattle Breeder A.E. Berry (his Cattle Stud prefix was Brittleware).  Mr. Berry was also a contributor to the “British Grasslands” publication. The second owner would appear to be Major Alfred Huskisson OBE (1951), MC & Bar (WWI).  The Major was a keen sportsman & was very involved with the British Olympics during the 1950s.  In 1960 he was the Vice Chairman of the Machine Gun Corps Officers’ Club!  From 1940 to 1970 he was a director of Simpson & Simpson.
